Asthma & Allergy Essentials for Child Care Providers
Asthma & Allergy Essentials for Child Care Providers is a training program that gives child care providers the information they need to care for children with asthma and allergies.
Asthma and respiratory allergies are the most common chronic childhood diseases. This program provides basic information about asthma (physiology, symptoms, medications) and explains how to control asthma and allergy triggers in the childcare setting. Participants will learn how to use a checklist developed by AAFA New England to evaluate and eliminate environmental triggers of allergies and asthma symptoms.
A certificate is provided for professional development and child care licensing verification. (In Massachusetts, 2 workshop hours qualify as Dept. of EEC “health and safety” training.)
AAFA New England can bring this training workshop to your community or child care facility. We can also provide workshops for parents.
